Statement

In my experience, a studio is a place where through a process of inquiry and discovery, you can pursue your interests free from excessive oversight, but nonetheless aided by people of varying experiences, and knowledge in different domains that will direct you to different sources and points of view.

Studio Mondragón is a platform for artists to share their work in visual, auditory, physical, written, spoken or whatever form they choose. Even though it is primarily focused on Fine Art, I hope that it will engage with the arts in general, and the realm of ideas, whether that is science, technology, philosophy, business, or any endeavour that is deemed interesting.

Studio Mondragón will evolve and learn over time alongside the people it interacts with. So, we invite you to a journey to try to better understand ourselves.

The Area

Located in Allegro San Ángel Inn, in the southern part of Mexico City, Studio Mondragón is lucky to be placed in such a culturally rich area as is San Ángel Inn, a place with centuries of history, and surrounded by cultural landmarks such as the Museo Casa Estudio Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo, where those two iconic artists spent time living and working together, which is only a few metres away from Studio Mondragón.
